Renesse is located on Schouwen-Duiveland and is mainly known as the seaside resort for young people. The nightlife here used to be notorious,but nowadays it is very pleasant with the many cafes, bars and discos. Renesse is located in the extensive Kop van nature reserve Schouwen with 21 km of beach. Schouwen-Duiveland is the most northern peninsula of Zeeland and has two beach areas nude recreation is allowed. Nude recreation is permitted from post 6.94 to 7.99. It area is indicated on the beach with signs. In practice recreated nude up to approximately pole 8.99 (here becomes the beach narrower again), with the exception of the area near the busy one beach entrance at post 7.99. On the very wide beach (approximately 600 meters), in contrast to the other beaches in Zeeland, there are none breakwater piles present. There is one in front of the nudist beach dangerous sandbank, which is flooded at high tide, on the beach many warning signs. Along the low dunes there are paths with a white head placed to prevent the safe route along the coast.
On On the dune side there are also possibilities to swim in the first (low) dunes recreate. There are no facilities on the nudist beach. To the on the east side (towards Renesse) it is beach pavilion De Zwaluw.
The nudist beach is also widely used, especially at the waterline textile recreationists.
Small parts of the beach, especially the low dunes, can be damaged during become breeding closed as a breeding area for the Kentish plover, little plover, ringed plover and oystercatcher.
